Foster Partners is making in their mark in Amsterdam with their recently complete towers housing headquarters for Ernst and Young. Standing 24 stories tall, the original tower has been dubbed the “gateway” to the Vivaldi Park area of an original Zuidas district development south of Amsterdam. While it is a arguable that the original Ernst and Young headquarters is not practically as highly designed of as some of our past Foster Partners postings, there are generally at least two things that we can undertaking about this fresh design: the building is finished and it is exceeding targeted Dutch environmental standards.

This structure is façade and which is made up of steel diagrid and a mixture of opaque and translucent glazing on all sides, has the Ernst and Young headquarters operating extra than 10 percent above present efficiency standards. The resulting interior spaces take in a reserved three story entrance atrium and double height conference services that are constantly flooded by normal daylight.
