Designers for the New Gen shows

Here is exciting news for all the people interested in the happenings of the fashion world. I know, it is only December, but I would excite you with the news of the announcement of the names of the designers who would most probable bring laurels to one of the most awaited fashion shows of the industry. Yes, the British Council has announced the names of the participants who will contribute to the London Fashion Week and its most awaited events of the New Gen shows.
I was already expecting the names of many of these renowned fashion tycoons. They are Duro Olowu, Christopher Kane and Todd Lynn. Of course, how can we imagine the shows without Louise Goldin, Marios Schwab, and Erdem?
There will obviously be some newcomers who will flaunt their talent and sense of fashion. They are Meadham Kirchoff and Krystof Strozyna.
Samples of the apparels designed by them are displayed in the above pictures. The first two from the left are by Strozyna. I love the exclusivity of the jewels and belts in the collection. The ones on the right are by Kirchoff. I am eagerly looking forward to the collections by all these designers. What about you?

Gareth Pugh- Brings Laurels to London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week has already started being in limelight because of the variety of designers who are taking part in this prestigious show. The event is also in news because of the criteria for models to provide a certificate of their good health. This is done with the aim of creating awareness of the consequences of being under-weight.

Gareth Pugh- Brings Laurels to London Fashion Week

Anyways, Gareth Pugh, a British designer based in London, has been able to attract the audience to his new designer collection. The collection has been fabulous, making him the hottest participator in the fashion week till now. The onlookers who were much excited to have a look at his designs adored the designer outfits. The curiosity foe his style comes from his forte for experimentation with structures and dimensions. He completely gives a new look to every outfit. Almost every apparel designed by him is ” nonsensically shaped”. He is a part of ‘New Gen’ formed by London Fashion Week in 2006. He has essentially evolved as successful in his brief career span.

The leather- patchwork has been an eminent part of his creations. The style has drawn great applause. The garments look somewhat weird but the creativity of the designer can not be overlooked. This is in my opinion, the essence of his style.
